1st Discussion Assignment

Q INSTRUCTIONS - (READ THIS FIRST) This assignment has two parts. The first part is Saturday, 1/22 by the end of the night. The second part is due Sunday, 1/23 by the end of the night. Read the following instructions, then navigate to the Voicethread presentation using the link at the very bottom of this page to complete the assignment. If this assignment format is new to you, be sure to read the tips on using Voicethread that I have shared below. PART I (due Saturday, 1/22 by the end of the night): Choose prompt A or B and post a comment on the corresponding slide. Your comment should be in verbal or video form, although you may submit a text comment if you encounter technical difficulties. Verbal and video comments should be between 1 ½ - 2 minutes long and text comments should be about 150-200 words long (excluding the quotation required for prompt A). Note that you can record and re-record your comment as many times as you like before saving. PART II (due Sunday, 1/23 by the end of the night): Navigate to the slide for the prompt that you did NOT choose. Listen to, read, or watch at least eight submissions from classmates, and choose the comment which, in your assessment, makes the most insightful observations. Respond to that student in a brief voice, video, or text comment (up to 1 ½ minute if voice or video and up to 150 words of text). In your response, indicate why this classmate’s submission stood out to you, making references to class materials.
